With the support of Gothenburg City Council, the British Ambassador to Sweden H.E. Ms Judith Gough and Lord Mayor of Gothenburg Anneli Rhedin planted an oak tree in Slottsskogen to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth's Platinum Jubilee, and to contribute to the Green Canopy initiative.
The tree can be seen at (57.688597371656996, 11.948678953211768) approximately at the junction of Museivägen and Slottskogspromenad - no flags but there is a plaque.
Members of the Anglo-Swedish Committee were also photographed with shovels!
We contributed to the second planting season October 2022 to March 2023. Over a million trees have been planted world-wide.

Currently the site is off-limits due to it being developed as an "important environment for wild bees, butterflies and other pollinators". It is part of a 9-country EU project.
